Bittersweet Cry

This mixtape is a chill experiment for redveil, trying out different sounds but still dropping some solid tracks. I might be biased, but the best song here is by the duo of redveil and D’mari harris that I absolutely love, and the chorus on that one has these smooth melodies and loud drums that give a sneak peek into the awesome vibe he nails on his later projects. It's a nice touch, honestly. You can definitely hear the Odd Future influence, especially in the beats and redveil's monotone flow that’s got some Earl vibes. But what I dig most is how this mixtape feels like a solid stepping stone, showing how he’s building towards the greatness of his future stuff.

Tracks like "Lonicera" feel straight out of SoundCloud, with those features and that "type beat" that’s like a blend of Tyler and other slums sub-genre artists in abstract hip-hop. Plus, you can see him leveling up both his production and his lyrics here, heading towards becoming a truly phenomenal artist. Overall, it's got some super fun tracks with great beats!
