SIN MIEDO
I wasn't really sold on this song until the second half, but I have to say, I'm very impressed with this post-Scaring The Hoes music from Peggy because it's really hitting a sweet spot for me. I think it's the mix of another killer guitar part and the punchy electronics doing wonders for my brain. Like I said before, it was truly when the beat switch happened that the song started working for me; the first part, with the exception of the guitar, was really lacking in my eyes. The song also cuts off very abruptly, which makes me think it will make more sense in the context of the upcoming album. I'm excited to see what's next for these singles, but for now, I did find this one a bit weak. JPEGMAFIA has been venturing into more raw rap with less diluted vocals, which is really interesting to see. He's always had a unique style, but lately, he's been stripping back some of the layers and letting his voice come through more clearly, and it adds a new dimension to his music. This song, despite its initial lackluster impact on me, does show that side of him. His vocal delivery is more direct and less processed, which gives it a more authentic and gritty feel. It's a shift that feels both refreshing and true to his roots
