Im going to go on record and say that this is my favorite Frank Ocean track ever, but i’ve noticed that many people disagree. If you’re really into Frank’s stuff, you’ll either vibe with it or be totally thrown off. I ended up loving it, maybe because I used to have it on repeat and it’s kind of burned into my memory now. The auto-tune definitely caught me off guard when I first heard it played on my older cousins playlist, but it really grew on me. I like how much he switches it up, switching back to his regular vocals in the second half, making for a super unique project. The instrumental's also a bit of a mixed bag—especially towards the end. The more I listen, the more sad I get that V2 isn’t released on platforms. Overall the song is so amazing and it’s unique in the fact it feels like it should work. It almost feels like the vocals and the beat are working against each other, but in the most cohesive way possible.
