Face The Wall

So, I stumbled upon Jordana thanks to a sweet collab with TV Girl. Decided to dive into her stuff, and I really dug it. It was like discovering this artist who really nails the whole subtle, emotional songwriting thing with a chill bedroom pop vibe. Her earlier stuff was a bit rough on the production side, but this new project? Super polished, especially with those string touches. It's also got this cool, percussive, and edgy feel, mixing relaxed late 90s/early 2000s pop rock melodies with some punchy drums that really amp up the tension.

Her husky vocals blend so well with themes of burnout and pressure. Some folks call it “wallflower music,” but it feels more about the struggle to communicate rather than just being shy. She’s really pushing against anxious introversion and her own independent streak.

The album’s got this brisk, sharp pace—almost too sharp at times. The lyrics can feel a bit basic and it doesn't really build to a climax, but maybe that’s the point: it’s about living in the moment. If you're into low-key indie pop, you should definitely give it a listen.
