Aromanticism

Moses Sumney’s voice is huge—like, it could fill up an entire stadium without breaking a sweat—but a lot of this album just kind of floats along at a steady pace. It’s not bad, it just feels like it's missing that next-level energy I know he can deliver. Don’t get me wrong, the record is super polished. It’s full of sleek, graceful melodies, flawless production, and really emotional performances. His voice is practically otherworldly, especially with the production lifting it up. But I’ve heard him push things further, and I know he’s got more in him. That said, it’s still miles more creative than a lot of the chamber pop I’ve had to sit through recently, so I’ll definitely be coming back to it. I’m just hyped to see what he does next, ‘cause some parts of this were absolutely stunning.
