ARIZONA BABY

This album is, hands down, one of the most raw and honest pieces of work Kevin or anyone from Brockhampton, for that matter—has ever dropped. It’s like he’s saying, “Screw it, nothing’s off-limits,” and just lays it all out there. No filters, no sugarcoating just real life, clear as day. It’s almost like you’re peeking into his life through a spotless window, and man, sometimes it feels like maybe we’re seeing a bit too much. But that’s what makes this whole project hit different; the honesty is just on another level.

Kevin’s vocals are still wild and experimental, with him playing around with vocal effects to create something fresh and unique in the hip hop and R&B space. And the production? Holy shit, it’s next level. Some of the best beats and sounds Kevin and the crew have ever put together, no joke. The music’s so layered and beautiful, it’s almost tear-jerking, but at the same time, it’s got that catchy, irresistible vibe that makes you wanna keep it on repeat. Some of the hooks in these tracks are so good it’s almost unreal how they hit you right in the feels.

Honestly, this is the best solo project to come out of the Brockhampton universe so far, and it’s got me hyped for whatever they’re cooking up next. It feels like a crucial step forward for Kevin, both as a person and an artist, and it makes for some seriously compelling music. It’s Kevin staring down his demons, and honestly, I can’t sum it up better than he does in the last track: “We cannot run forever.”
