"Texas Sun" is such a chill EP. It’s like all your worries just melt away when you listen to it. Khruangbin’s smooth, spacious vibes blend perfectly with Leon Bridges’ soulful voice, which is still as amazing as ever. Sure, it might not be the best thing either of them has done, but you can’t deny that this collab was a brilliant idea—they’ve got this natural chemistry. Each of the four tracks tells its own cool story, all tied together, making you feel like you’re cruising through the southern U.S. And yeah, it’s only four songs, so there’s less room to mess up, but sometimes it’s nice to just have a solid, short project. If I had to pick a fave, it’s definitely the infamous staple “ Texas Sun." That track hits hard and ends on such a sweet note.
