STILL PRETTY
It’s super awesome to be able to see the full growth and professional upbringing of Eem Triplin, this is a great project overall but the one problem I do have is that Eem seems hesitant to diversify his flows, beats, and overall sound. Don’t get me wrong, what he already does is great, but it would be so much better to see him branch out to a different production style because I believe his voice can be utilized in many different ways. This album has received mixed reviews, mostly because it took a while to drop after the initial hype last year. While it's not terrible, it's also not particularly memorable. If it had come out earlier, it might have left a stronger impression. Eem's singing starts to feel a bit repetitive after a while, although there are some songs I quite like. The production is solid, with a good mix of emotions and tension, and the album's mix of bouncy and chill vibes is enjoyable. However, there are too many old tracks included, and the skits feel more disruptive than enhancing. Despite its flaws, the album has some standout moments that show Eem's potential. Overall, while it's not perfect, I'm curious to see what he does next. I think as a newer artist Eem is honestly just nervous to try something new and continues to play it safe, but i’m looking forward to when he begins to open up.
