LOVE LASTS FOREVER

This album has its fair share of problems, which I'll dive into, but I actually somehow didn’t hate it as much as every one else did. The production is solid and reminds me of the upgrade we saw in Ken Carson’s "A Great Chaos." It’s definitely a step up in quality, and I’d say it’s the album's biggest strength. Tracks like "Love Hurts," "Say That," and "Pimp Talk" have killer beats that make them stand out.

Lone’s not awful on this album, but he’s probably the weakest link. His rapping and vocals aren’t as bad as I expected, though he still has some cringe-worthy lyrics. Out of Ken and Carti, Lone is definitely the least impressive rapper. That said, this album is probably his best work yet, even though he’s got a lot of room to grow as an artist.

One thing that bothers me is that most of the songs didn’t really grab me at the start. It often took a minute for them to hit their stride. I’m glad I ended up liking more tracks than I thought I would, but it’s a bit of a letdown that this usually happened only after the song had been playing for a while. It’s a bit rough around the edges—nothing here is standout amazing, but it’s not a total disaster either.

Overall, it’s not terrible, but it leaves you wanting more. The beat selection is on point and really drives the album forward. Still, Lone’s vocal delivery can be pretty bland, which drags some of the tracks down. The mixing feels a bit rough, too—on a track like "THRILL," it’s like Lone is completely overshadowed by the beat.
