In My Zone

I can’t lie — this review’s a little special. Yuno Miles was the first artist I ever wrote about, which is wild to think about now. Back then, it was all chaos, memes, and unfiltered energy — and honestly, not much has changed. But that’s what makes “In My Zone” hit even harder: it’s peak Yuno, and somehow it still feels fresh.

This track is straight-up fire and hilarious at the same time — which is kind of his entire lane. Nobody else is making music like this. “In My Zone” is the musical equivalent of tung tung tung sahur. The beat is aggressive, clunky in all the right ways, and the delivery is pure Yuno Miles: wild ad-libs, off-the-wall bars, and that beautiful blend of sounding like he’s trolling and taking over the rap game at the same time.

He’ll say something that makes you cackle, then follow it up with a bar that lowkey slaps — like you’re laughing and somehow bobbing your head way too hard. That balance between comedy and real-deal heat is what makes this song work. It’s chaotic, unpredictable, but still tight in its own weird logic.

And honestly, hearing this now, knowing where I started as a writer — it’s a reminder of why I do this. I didn’t start writing about music because of perfect production or deep lyrical themes (though those are cool too). I started because of artists like Yuno Miles, who make music fun. Music that doesn’t care about rules. Music that lives in its own zone.

If you’ve never heard Yuno before, this is a great entry point. If you already know the lore, then “In My Zone” just confirms he’s still in rare form. Loud, ridiculous, original, and lowkey genius.

Long live the goat of absurd rap.
