Die For Me

Pretty solid, but not quite up there with his best stuff. A few of the tracks have that “typical” Jean vibe, but this one misses the mark.

That said, the single is still pretty dope! Yachty’s guest verse is packed with passion, and those eerie string sections and piano chords hit just right. Like most of Jean Dawson’s newer stuff, the way the song progresses is wild. I’m not sure if I’m feeling it as much as the tracks on his “boohoo” EP from last year, but it’s still a high-quality single. It’s got me hyped for his next album, even if Yachty’s feature is just okay. Jean’s vocals and the instrumentals really make this track stand out.
